Aimee Hartigan is a Child/Youth Advocate with the Windsor Essex Child/Youth Advocacy Centre (WECYAC).

Aimee is a graduate of the University of Windsor. She began her career supporting adults with developmental disabilities and dual diagnoses in the community and in their homes. Aimee then went into the field of Child Protection, spending more than 10 years supporting children, youth, and their families. Upon leaving the field of Child Protection, Aimee began working with newcomers to Canada, providing mental wellness supports, community connections, and advocacy services. Aimee’s experience in working with children, youth, and families includes providing trauma-informed care and delivering crisis management, and therapeutic intervention. She has experience volunteering with both at-risk youth and newcomer youth.

Aimee is passionate about serving her community and aiding children, youth, and families going through the investigative process. She believes in providing compassionate and empathetic care to everyone she encounters.
