Alexa Pugh works as a Child/Youth Advocate at the Windsor-Essex Child/Youth Advocacy Centre (WECYAC).
Alexa is a Registered Social Worker who completed her Bachelor of Social Work in 2020 and is currently completing her Master of Social Work, both from the University of Windsor. Alexa supports the services of the Child/Youth Advocacy Centre in the community by providing clients with a safe and supporting environment to help reduce trauma. Alexa has been involved with various community agencies with experience in child protection, homeless youth programming, and providing mental health support within schools.
Alexa is passionate about providing healing services for children, youth, and their families following traumatic situations. Alexa is knowledgeable in trauma-informed practice, cognitive behavioral therapy, and aims to empower children and youth.
