Inspector Angela Ferguson is Detachment Commander, Essex County Ontario Provincial Police.
Inspector Ferguson holds a degree in Sciences from the University of Windsor and a post-graduate certificate in Clinical Research from the University of Western Ontario.
She previously served in various roles including Brant County Operations Manager, West Region Traffic & Marine Unit Manager, and Detachment Manager in Haldimand County. She was Acting Manager of Business and Finance for West Region Headquarters and held a position in the Regional Operations Center in London. She is a certified Public Order Unit Commander/Critical Incident Commander and is a Provincial Incident Command Trainer.
Inspector Ferguson is the recipient of a Commissioner’s Citation for Bravery, a St. John’s Lifesaving Award, the 2022 Ontario Women’s Leadership Excellence Award for Teamwork, and Regional Commander commendations for both Leadership and Service.
