Kasia, who grew up in Windsor, has recently graduated from a 6-year MD program in Poland, where she was born. For the past couple of years, she has been dedicated to solidifying her Pediatric background by completing hospital rotations across the US and Canada within various sub-specialties in the Pediatric field. By successfully completing her board certification exams in both countries, she is currently applying for a Pediatric Residency position in the hopes of dedicating her future to working with vulnerable children.
Kasia is pursuing postgraduate studies at McMaster University, Centre for Continuing Education, in Applied Clinical Research to enhance her future career. She is certified in Pediatric Advance Life Support, Suicide Intervention Skills Training and soon will be certified in Mental Health First Aid. She is also a volunteer with Big Brothers and Big Sisters, where she mentors children in need.
Kasia notes, “I strongly believe that children and youth do not deserve to suffer due to the consequences of other’s actions. Together, we have the power to provide them with the system they deserve and the system that they need. It is my pleasure to be a part of WECYAC.”
